Who signs the audit opinion?+
Your firm's Public Accountant. Always. Nebis AI is a support service — we never sign, never issue an opinion and never hold out as auditors. You own the engagement, the client relationship and the signature; we supply the engine your team runs on.
How does this sit with independence and quality management?+
The engine runs inside your files as a service provider to your firm. Because Nebis Consulting is not an audit firm and holds no audit engagements of its own, using our support doesn't create the network-firm or self-review issues that outsourcing to another audit firm can. Your firm stays responsible for its own independence assessment and its system of quality management (SSQM 1) over the use of a service provider — we give you the audit trail to support it.
Will you approach our clients?+
No — and it's written into every agreement, with teeth. We support firms; we do not compete for their audit clients. Your relationships stay yours.
What happens to our clients' data?+
Each firm runs in its own segregated environment. Client data never crosses to another firm and never touches any practice of our own — we have none. Confidentiality and data-processing terms are agreed before we see anything.
